In the beginning, players explore the setting of WitchSpring4. During this time, they encounter a young girl named Mocca and her grandmother Moccamori. A boy witnesses something explode, and some people approach him soon afterward. Unfortunately, the boy's family and their new location had to leave when enemies appeared behind them. Desperate pleas by the boy's family fell on deaf ears as the knight suffered a tragic end. Before being detained, the boy and Mocca attempted to elude the knight's notice. They failed to realize that they were surrounded by a group of knights and two important figures had also appeared. It turned out that Mocca's parents had been murdered instantly and before he was apprehended, he and his charge had attempted to elude capture. A giant entity with a weapon appears after meeting Mocca. That character then uses teleportation to disappear and cause confusion about their forgiveness. Then, another character disappears and transitions the event.

Moccamori's journey begins when a group of soldiers block her way to a sacred spring. Once she recovers the energy to reunite her family, she travels to different areas in search of information. Monsters appear in the form of stone and flesh, including humans; she fights them all as she gathers data about the spring. During a turn-based battle, your character's actions are determined by a blue energy bar below their health. You can easily spot this bar and use it to develop specific offensive and defensive tactics if your enemies are powerful. Moccamori's power exceeds that of a beginner character. She has area and single-target attack skills that are powerful across an entire area. After defeating the soldiers guarding the spring, you’ll explore the facility further. You’ll encounter a human with similar powers to Moccamori as well as a power source. You come face to face with a stone creature during the same level. Defeating it enables you to advance; additionally, you learn how to utilize power and enhance Moccamori's maximum strength.

The heroine of WitchSpring4 can increase her strength thanks to several factors. The first is the wakefulness she reaches during the game; this increases her ability to wield powerful weapons. Additionally, a large burning circle appears next to various statistics. When this circle is on fire, activating this state grants the heroine heightened strength and battle prowess.
