In 2018, a separate app called the Andromeda was released. This was inspired by the popular theme site Substratum, and allows subscribers to themes for Andro Oreo phones without requiring root access. Although Andromeda is still relatively young, it has shown promise with several positive aspects. Without having to connect a PC to the phone via ADB, you can use Swift Installer to install themes on Android Oreo phones. The app can be used with Samsung Galaxy S8, S9 and other Samsung devices running Android Oreo. It includes a color generator that lets you personalize your device with unlimited colors by entering the hex code. Like the Samsung version of Substratum, Swift Installer is a theme management service that functions like Overlay Manager Service created by Sony. It includes an effective update system that doesn't necessitate the need to reinstall overlays. Substratum is a third-party app meant to work alongside Samsung's existing Sun Stratum app. It functions identically to Nougat; both apps are extremely easy to use. Samsung phones running Oreo or newer versions of their operating system have no compatibility issues with Substratum. The color engine of Swift Installer makes it possible to customize your phone to an almost infinite extent. This alternative to Andromeda starts the ADB command on a non-PC device. New to Substratum is an experimental release. As a result, not all Swift themes may work properly. Some of them might still have issues and have no support from the creators. Our recommendation is to download the installer from their website as this guarantees proper functionality. In order to avoid complications, use these recommendations from the Swift Installer. This app can also be found on an Android device's operating system. It has a beta version, so there's no guarantee it will function properly. From our perspective, it’s easy to understand. To root a device, you need to be a user with superuser access; this is different for each program. You can search "how to root X device" in Google and perform the process with a few simple steps. Most people use commands to install the TWRP recovery file and Magisk software. Substratum users choose a theme and adjust the app’s Layers palette. We have to restart our device manually so that we can theme it. Substratum accomplishes the same results as us using superuser privileges.

This app combines the best features of Substratum with an installer and color engine. It works with Samsung devices without requiring root permissions. To change the color or customise the system UI settings, we need to be superusers. Alternatively, we can customize these settings by changing these initial settings.

The app uses the accent color option to color its tiles and icon. App icons and tiles can't have colors that are too bright or too dark. Instead, they're limited to a specific set of hues they're set to by default.

The color used as the app's background is determined by the chosen color scheme. An overly bright color cannot be set due to the limitation of setting colors.
