Ada learned about sparklite, a precious crystal rarely found in the land, through gradual conversations with the inhabitants of the settlement. Sparklite was the only thing keeping the inhabitants alive until now. The evil Baron seeks to conquer the world and other lands with sparklite mines. In order to defeat him, Ada allied with the inhabitants of The Refuge to shatter his aspirations. Doing so protects her as well as pays her debt for being spared. Sparklite’s adventure in Geodia spans the entire game. They fight against thousands of strange monsters and forces inhabiting the land. Adas’ adventure in Geodia includes solving all the upcoming challenges and discovering the greater secret.

Roguelike games always end with defeat if played unwILLingly. This makes roguelike extremely unpeaceful and hard to play. Roguelikes also combine long adventures with rogue elements like damage and death. Sparklite’s retro levels provide a similar feeling to the game's maps, caves, dungeons and blocks. Those who appreciate new experiences won’t enjoy this game due to its similarities to other titles. However, players who can get past the first retro levels will come to appreciate Sparklite for its unique ideas. In the game, sparklite crystals function as the main currency. What would you like to purchase next? New armor, more weapons, energy or building materials? Sparklite is a new feature found in all of these games that requires sparklite. This makes Sparklite less absurd than many other games of the same type. Ada's primary means of offense is her sledgehammer. As such, her fighting style emphasizes close-range combat. Initially she only has a low damage index, but after several deaths and resurrections she gains more health than the original. Additionally, her blood volume increases to three drops per hit— making her susceptible to three attacks before going down. Because of its emphasis on enhancements and character strength, Sparklite players tend to play longer and more consistently than other roguelike games.

Sparklite’s gameplay loop is bolstered by the story’s familiarity. Ada’s crystal reserves and abilities increase with every death and revival. If you die, don’t mourn. Your fate is to return with renewed vigor. To achieve this, you must first toil hard. Ada’s options always include several reasonable choices. These choices include choosing to enter the situation 1 or 2 ways, choosing weapon A or B, choosing to increase skills, or choosing a new weapon. When Ada makes these choices, some of the game’s cool weapons and quests will be lost if she dies. However, Ada’s spartlike crystals and skills will remain intact if she dies.

I don’t consider this Legend of Zelda spinoff another version. I think Sparklite is a refreshing game compared to the original. Ada moved between multiple dimensions while living in Geodia. Each dimension had its own topography, soil composition and climate. The sparkly colors of Sparklites greatly contrast the old pixel art seen in classic games. Every aspect of Ada’s new environment is shown with sharp clarity thanks to the use of modern colors. Adding background music is a great idea. Plus, this program lets you play in two or three different areas at once. The music for each geographic region differs. Each land has its own background music, as well as different monsters and a different rhythm. This creates many interesting battle spaces due to the differences in music.
