The plot begins at night when a mysterious person wanders through a frigid winter landscape. He then encounters his nephew, the primary character who you'll control and receive information about Max's scroll and an important location to go. In search of their adversaries, the two discovered the site of battle and eliminated their foes. Sadly, they descended into a subterranean cavern where they worried about their safety. Darkness provides many monsters an opportunity to attack and devour prey. In this game, players battle these abominations in different places. However, they'll need the help of a supporting character named Uncle — who provides advice and insight — to survive. The game features many responsibilities that the main character will need to address as they struggle to stay alive.

Before you start playing Solo Knight, you’re certain to come to terms with its combat system. The character automatically attacks enemies in the vicinity, but can be directed freely by the player. You can also strategize with various options available to you. Additionally, it's worth noting that when you defeat all monsters on a floor, you move on automatically. This means the number of enemies always increases and limits your safety. Some floors even have bosses you need to defeat.

To win battles in Solo Knight, you need to use intelligence and tactics. You can gather different weapons by equipping different pieces of clothing. Different colored weapons are better than others; the color of the item appears on the exterior of your weapon. Damaging bosses triggers bonuses that drop on certain floors. To increase one's stats, finding the highest quality items is a long and difficult process. Over time, acquiring higher quality items will become a process that takes years. Skills utilize the mechanic of runes, which are considered a handy tool with functionality similar to magic. Acquiring runes becomes a process that introduces one to rune magic. Once familiar with runes, successfully utilizing the equipment's skills will be easier. The player travels to a place dangerous both to themselves and monstrosities. Players constantly need to find ways to defend themselves as Monsters appear in this area and periodically appear in an unpredictable size. Weapons provide many advantages due to their capacity to employ special abilities when necessary. When you complete a floor, you instantly transport to the next floor, where you'll encounter bosses and other powerful foes. You can use runes to activate equipment with differing qualities. These in turn display their impressive powers for you to see. ———
