You can choose any MMA fighter to become Prizefighters 2. These include Andrew Tanaka, Calvin Hopkins, Eric Camacho or any other fighter. Your only task in the ring is to defeat your opponent with your fists.
The movement, attack and defensive options are split between the left and right sides of the playing field. The game's controls are quite complex; four squares remain on either side of the screen. These are used to move forward, backward, dodge left or right and fire projectiles. Additionally, two corners at the bottom of the screen serve as buttons to switch directions or detonate. To block an opponent's attack, press the two defense buttons at the same time. You can also use swipe and touch — tapping the screen and swiping across it — to control your character's type.
Critical power comes from the use of skills.
Gladiators are trained in stamina and resistance to help them withstand basic attacks. Exploiting this, gladiators only lose a small amount of health with each strike. Additional training allows gladiators to weaken their opponents with jaw hooks or wing pokes. You can increase the skill points below your health bar by attacking an opponent. Press down on a combat button to deliver a strike that uses 1 pot of skill energy.
Create a boxer and ring as you please.
The game comes with a very entertaining feature, but the publisher also intends to inspire creativity through its customizable nature. These features can only be accessed after purchasing a Premium version of the game. Alternatively, Koality Game has developed these components that can be utilized for free by editing the arena, colors in the string and rules of the game. Use clever combat strategies to win against your adversaries.
To effectively counter your opponent, always remain on the defensive. Once your opponent strikes you, immediately throw a punch; after being struck, they temporarily lose stamina and retreat to defense mode, preventing them from dodging your attack. Next, incorporate basic attacks and skill attacks into a single combo that grants you additional skill points and greater damage against your enemy.

Koality Game titles feature unique graphics made with pixels. The Prizefighters 1 title released later had significantly better graphics than most of their titles. Part 2 features more lifelike designs for its characters compared to the first part. Plus, the animation is improved due to the third-person perspective.
