Exploring the new land to the north yields a rich and productive environment. Although it often rains on this territory, other natural elements can combine and quickly create valuable wealth.

Courageous and strong in many ways, your followers are acknowledged few. Nevertheless, they are Viking warriors who dare to follow you. Starting your long journey will involve assigning specific jobs to your Viking. These include farming and fighting as examples. After that, your next step is to complete these duties so your Viking can continue their journey across new continents in Northgard.

When your people discovered this new landmass, they were delighted. This is because the continent is rich with mineral resources. It's dangerous, though; many dark beasts and monsters hide there. Because of this, your people have to protect their territory's mineral resources. They'll do this by planning strategies and allocating warriors to guard the resources. Ideally, they'll avoid getting raided or surprised by thieves.

Because of the high quality of land, the harsh weather makes it difficult to live there. Without leaders like you creating a policy like yours, I'm afraid people can't last long in that location. The surrounding weather causes continual natural disasters every year. As a leader of Northgard, you must show your strength by defeating regular enemies and monsters. They lurk in every nook and cranny of Northgard to steal resources from your Viking. Don’t let this happen to you; instead, show them what they’re up against.

No one has ever lived on the many continents in this game; they're all secret places. The brave warrior must discover these places and pave the way for other people to explore them. I believe that the strong can defeat the beast to pave the way for new conquest lands. Conquer more lands with my strong strategies by leading the people. Also, expand your territory as much as possible.

The game Northgard features unique challenges and events you must face. You must complete these events in order to achieve different victory conditions for the game. Additionally, you must conquer new lands while mastering the six main clans you’ll be accompanied by. Making them part of your team requires meeting their specific criteria. Prove you can handle the challenges they demand by completing their campaigns. Doing so will earn you the bragging rights of defeating the behemoth.

You need to establish a permanent residence by building a Viking camp together with the settlers. When establishing a new territory, Vikings need to complete any tasks they've assigned to themselves. This includes farmers and soldiers working alongside each other. To protect your rich lands from enemy plots to bribe or plunder their minerals, come up with a unique strategy. In order to establish a new continent, first train your people in weathering harsh conditions and resistance to invaders. They’d fight to the bitter end against any invading armies or wild beasts. Your leadership abilities as a hardheaded individual allow you to conquer many new lands with six distinct clans.

The Vikings are a nation that play the fog of war strategy game with passion. Their goal is to fight new enemies, take over new lands and grow their empire slowly. This is apparent in the fact that no other nation has this same motivation. Playdigious’s Northgard game combines combat and exploration to create a dramatic and stimulating experience. Players explore the large land while fighting off enemies in the game. They also need to constantly expand their villages, creating dramatic moments as light beams illuminate the fog. Because of this combination, Northgard is not as peaceful as its name implies.

The opening black screen read the words, "I am Rig, Son of the High King Hargurorf. This is my Saga… One fateful day signaled a dark event." Like a hunch, the Viking tribes lived in harmony in the snowy north. They were ruled by two power groups and lived in territories that were different but still united. The League of Tribes was a societal system used by all Vikings. Hagen, a member of the Raven Clan who turned against his people, eliminated all of the reigning Viking High Kings. He also took possession of the ultimate symbol of his tribe, the ram's horn, as well as Northgard's map that the kings had just shared. In tandem with their planning, he destroyed this vital alliance. You are Rig, the son of a High King with high esteem. If it weren’t for this, he would have been crowned High King and inherited his father’s throne. Rig needed to pretend to have died in order to escape the massacre and hide his true identity. After that, he had to find a way to regain power, find a way off the island, find an escape route back to the mainland and secure the prisoner from Hagen. Rig also needed to set sail and search for a lost map's land. He then needed to construct a new life on the new continent and seek revenge against rebels who had stolen his horse. After creating a new settlement, the group of survivors decided to continue building. However, their real struggle hadn’t even begun. This place is a wild, uninhabited land where individuals must grapple with the harsh climate, dangerous wild animals and how to start their own country. Even with a map in hand, Hagen and his army could appear at any time. Would the war be won or lost depending on how this played out?
