In Marvel Puzzle Quest, players earn Command Points by using the command point function of their Super Powers. These points can be used to earn Legendary Content Packs that grant additional power for the player's five-star character. Additional daily rewards also come from this series. In these events, players face off against Marvel Puzzle Quest's plot-based battles that involve a superhero squad. After each battle, players restore health or strength through the Health Pack. Everyone begins with five Health Packs. Additional health packs can be purchased or found as quest rewards. Players can also earn extra power packs by playing the game— they can even have up to five at once.

In Marvel Puzzle Quest, players can combine forces with other players or the program's intelligent characters to form an alliance. Special rewards are given out when alliances battle each other. During a battle, you can communicate with alliance members via chat to exchange strategies. Each alliance requires at least one commander.

When a battle concludes, the award provides combat Boost that can be used for the next match. Players can choose up to three add-ons per match. Confirms will increase damage or ability points when attacking an enemy.

Each season lasts four weeks and includes competitive fighting tournaments. Players can earn individual rewards or join alliances for competitive points competition through the Versus Tournament leaderboards.
