Players must read the bulletin board called Blacksmith when they choose an input— it contains rules players must follow. Pick a hero name with at least 8 characters and open the input next to it. A slashing hand wields a cutting sword in front of menacing enemies. The castle sits atop a precipice overlooking the blue sky and fast-flowing river. The rocky shoreline abuts the castle, making it a difficult location to navigate. Despite its age, the castle awaits its former inhabitants.

Equipped with only his armor, shoes, and sword, the hero's minimal equipment is crucial to the storyline. Two types of armor exist: an orange one and a charcoal green one. A hardy walking shoe crafted from durable material is needed for long journeys. Additionally, the sword forged in the armory's smithy is suitable for annihilating the enemy. All of these implements can be enhanced and upgraded further. The character skill table lists many stats such as HP, attack power, speed, and the amount of time that needs to pass before an upgrade can be made. It also lists jewelry such as necklaces, rings and bracelets. Some of these items actually impact the hero's stats.

Monsters with various appearances constantly appear and disappear in the Legacy Cost game; this is because their deaths drop lots of precious metals. Two turtles co-exist peacefully in this image: the blue one stands docilely and the red ant wields a sword. A wooden chest is also visible in the picture. In addition to the green and red elves, zombies are necessary. A rabbit with blood-red eyes and white fur is indispensable. Before the maverick hero could eliminate the mutated creatures, they simply stood paralyzed in their green forest habitat. Their transformation into monstrosities rendered them harmless but useful for monetary gain as long as they didn’t oppose his advance. Emeralds drop from combat and support potions drop during any activity. They can be found in round stones that have a moss green coloration. Acquire as many of these stones as possible and take them to a store. This store sells skill books and magic potions that increase hero strength or restore their levels quickly.
