You must search for materials and tools, fight zombies and other enemies, among other tasks.

Each hero in the ranks has its own story, unique abilities, and distinct personalities. They all help you in different ways than any other hero. When you gather a group of 4 of the most powerful heroes in the army, you can raid other players' lands and take back territory once occupied by zombies. However, you're limited to gathering a maximum of 4 veterans in your battle group. Making sure your city has the proper role and team composition is important when creating your city. If you choose poorly, your efforts will result in significant losses as well as signaling the impending doom of your city.

In contrast to other zombie games, Z focuses on strategy over combat. This is because Z uses first refuge as its focus instead of fighting. As a long-term solution to the survival of humanity, it’s necessary to take risks on a larger scale. This can’t be accomplished with continued fighting.
