Add Beholder 2 information with
A blood-stained figure lurches in despair.
Additional details and a more expansive plot fill out the first part.
In the fantasy nation everything takes place during a time of darkness. For a Better Common Purpose has created a totalitarian government under the guise of enacting beneficial laws. However, they lack the power to tightly regulate everyone due to their small size. Large apartment complexes maintain these details at the bottom of their management structure.
You're Carl. Your given name is one of those. In the first part of your story, your father passed away unexpectedly. Consequently, Carl moved to a new city. He will work at a job that's even weirder than the last one; his father is a high-ranking official who jumped from the 37th floor. Because they hadn't seen each other for ten years, the jump didn't bother him. But that death caused him to be transferred to a strange city with a lavish lifestyle. This new part of his life is also the line of command and morality.
The second Beholder game takes place in a larger city space than the first. As a result, its setting isn’t limited to the apartment anymore. Instead, it allows players to act as a new leader with free movement throughout the city.
This city's system is deceptive and misleading. Its seemingly kind, benevolent form conceals its real nature as a strict dictatorship. Additionally, you know that the system's underlying plots don't alter the larger story. Consequently, everything that goes on in this city is just a diversion. The authorities view the lives of their subjects through a prism; they believe they are entitled to intervene in everything. Most people have very little freedom; they can freely eat and bask in the sun.
Sound, image, and weight on the soul are all contained in the original word.
People living in this world feel as though they don’t have a way out, as the artwork is mysterious and uncertain. People also feel suffocated by the artwork because it features drawings with large characters with short legs. It’s presented in gray, black and white.
Music in this game excels in its ability to imitate the cries of a frail, anguished and foreboding individual. It serves as an intense, hard-edged experience that's quite prone to inducing feelings of dread and unease. Playing the game makes the difficulty seem a hundred times greater than what was said in the description. Anyone who is physically frail or weak shouldn’t play this game.
Gameplay
Beholder 2 requires solving puzzles to progress through its story. This is similar to the first game in the series; users must tap on specific areas of the screen to find objects and solve mysteries. Working and living in a new city is a key part of both games, as is managing characters' stats and unlocking new mysteries.
Just like in real life, our main character must always maintain a healthy relationship between Money and Time. To accomplish this, they must regularly complete assigned tasks while also taking care of other pressing issues that demand immediate attention. When you lived in an apartment, your living space was limited to just one room. However, this time the city sprawls out further than before. You must change how you live by earning less money and engaging in more promiscuous work. This is because you need to focus more on yourself. You can do so by watching TV, reading books or even working like a real office employee.
The real reason behind a situation remains elusive.
This game has no definitive ending. It ends when the player chooses a last option. By exposing the corrupt machine while knowing only the top is exposed and the root cause remains undetected, one can continue to expand the root cause. Because of how lonely and hopeless the experience can be, people can be arrested, tortured, even murdered for being stuck in a situation where they were wrongly accused. People can also be arrested for trying to find out the truth; this is because the experience is worse than being alone in a crowded street. The music echoes in the head, reflecting both the current state of affairs and the future that remains hopelessly bleak.
In terms of missions, it feels like a fully functional video game. You work through mini-games to complete your daily tasks before engaging in spy missions, purchasing equipment for spying and even tracking the opposition. You also receive orders from your supervisor, such as performing sneak missions, buying equipment for eavesdropping or finding evidence against the regime.
Always complicated by having to choose from a number of options, with some choices leading to negative outcomes. Even if you have a salary, what will you use it for? Assuming the goal is to provide your family with a month of comfort and convenience, it's best to purchase home appliances that will automate many daily tasks. Alternatively, you can place your resources into a high-tech surveillance system so future work can proceed more quickly and efficiently. Both decisions require careful consideration because time and money are always limited resources in the game.
In Beholder 2, don’t commit outrageous crimes!
In Beholder 2, immoral acts are inevitable. Stopping in time and avoiding excess is vital because positive character traits don't mix with evil ones. Failure to heed this warning will result in severe ramifications.
Because the allocated work can’t be completed in time, you don’t have enough time to improve while playing Beholder 2. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, however— it shows you learned to forgive yourself for any shortcomings. You want to follow someone based on instructions from your boss, but you miss an important clue because it’s time to pick up your child from school. Unfortunately, this causes you to lose the opportunity to approach and enter someone’s home when looking for evidence that they were aware of your intrusion. You end up being praised for your efforts instead of admonished. This game's surprising plot developments always keep coming.
Don't approve of your superior's attempts to influence your morals for their own benefit. They may become a threat to you, and may even pursue you as a romantic partner.
Playing the game again is equally entertaining and surprising as the first time.
